Our story began with two French friends and associates, Eric & Rémy, who worked in the aircraft industry designing special parts. As griddle users themselves, they noticed that no griddle on the market had the ideal characteristics they were looking for: superior cooking performance, durability, rust resistance, important heat inertia, easy cleaning, and a cool design.
In 2005, driven by their passion, they decided to create the perfect griddle - Le Griddle.
The key to its resistance and rust-proof qualities was designing it entirely in stainless steel 304, known for its exceptional durability. The burners and accessories were also made from 304 stainless steel to ensure a long service life. A very large fat collection tray was integrated to make cooking and cleaning effortless.
The challenge was the cooking plate. While stainless steel 304 is anti-bacterial and non-porous, it doesn't transmit heat efficiently and can deform when exposed to flames. Inspired by aeronautical techniques, Eric & Rémy combined a cast iron radiator with the stainless steel 304 plate, creating the DUAL PLATE SYSTEM. This innovation provided the griddle with excellent inertia, ensuring uniform heat distribution across the entire surface, and preventing temperature drops during cooking. It also protected the stainless steel from direct contact with flames, keeping its original color.

In 2010, thanks to a Texan friend named Chris, Le Griddle found its way to the USA. Jeff, an expert in the BBQ industry, believed in Le Griddle, and together with all our American friends, we are thrilled to make Le Griddle available everywhere in the USA!
